• PART TIME Temporary Summer Marketing Intern
    Position: Marketing Intern (Part Time, Summer 2017)

    Turner Dairy Farms, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Team Member to assist the Marketing Department for the summer of 2017. The Team Member will be responsible for the coordination of events, sampling opportunities and miscellaneous outreach endeavors. Responsibilities include scheduling events and adjacent logistics, event set-up and attendance, and pertinent follow up communications for all scheduled events during the summer of 2017. The Team Member will represent Turner Dairy Farms in a professional capacity.

    This is a paid, part-time position with a variety of work hours, including nights and weekends, scheduled for the summer of 2017 (May to August).

    Qualifications, Duties, and Skills include:

  • PART TIME Finish Product lab Technician
    Position: Laboratory Technician-Finished Product
    Turner Dairy Farms, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated person to fill our PART TIME Finished Product Laboratory Technician position. This person will work 20 hours per week which may also include Saturdays and holidays. This is an ENTRY level lab position.
    Position Overview: The lab technician is responsible for safeguarding product safety and quality while meeting company and regulatory standards. Performs and documents testing of materials and finished products
    Job Duties, Responsibilities, Skills and qualifications:
    Responsible for daily finished product evaluations
    Performs microbiological analysis of finished products
    Verifies compliance and alerts QA Manager of any deviations from specifications
    Responsible for daily finished product evaluations
    Performs sensory evaluations of finished products
    Ability to taste test milk and product samples
    Must have good eyesight to evaluate milk samples and lab specimens
    Ability to lift 50 lbs
    Maintain clean and orderly work station to prevent cross contamination
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    Ability to read and write at a first year college level
    Basic math to add, subtract, multiply, divide and work with fractions and decimals
    Good organizational skills
    Excellent communication skills
    Previous lab experience is desirable
    Having formal training in biology and especially microbiology is desirable
    Having dairy, beverage or food plant experience is desirable

  • Delivery Driver/Salesperson
    **PLEASE NOTE** This is for employment at Turner Dairy Farms, Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA. We have no other locations.

    Position Summary: This is a full time position. This team member is responsible for providing a high level of customer service while delivering our products. This Driver/ Salesperson will provide consistent, on-time delivery, and outstanding customer service for an assigned route. Employees are expected to follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and company policies and procedures.

    This position requires a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License.

    Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Skills and Qualifications:
    • Performance of physical tasks and use of commercial vehicles to deliver products to multiple, scheduled customers within a defined area.
    • Deliver products in a safe and timely manner to customer locations.
    • Ability to frequently lift and carry products weighing approximately 50 lbs. Ability to push and pull a dolly weighing approximately 200 lbs.
    • Responsible for merchandising at the customer location.
    • Maintain accurate inventory of product on the truck.
    • Serve as the primary interface with the customer.
    • Ability to provide a high level of customer service and solve customer issues as they arise
    • Ability to work independently and as a team player in addition to making good business decisions independently
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to work over 40 hours per week
    • Possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL with a safe driving record and the ability to drive a standard transmission commercial truck.
    • CDL with at least 2 years of driving experience
    • Conduct vehicle safety inspection.
    • Must be knowledgeable about and understand current Department of Transportation regulations
    • Prior history of employment providing customer service desired
