Turner Dairy Earns Top Dairy Awards

Turner Dairy once again brought hardware back to the City of Champions! The Los Angeles International Dairy Competition is one of two competitions of this caliber (the other being the World Dairy Expo in Madison, WI).

The best dairy products from all over the country and world are entered for product judging. All products entered are scored on a scaled from 0-100. Products scoring 98-100 earn a Gold medal “An outstanding product with superior character”; 95-97 earn a Silver medal “a very good product with special qualities”; 92-94 earn a Bronze Medal “a well-made product”.

The quality of our products can be traced back to the 40 family farms the supply us with the best milk in the country. Our quality standards are 10x more strict than the government’s standards, which results in a product that will taste better longer. USDA standard for raw milk is 300,000 bacteria per milliliter. Turner’s standard is 10,000 bacteria per milliliter, which is more stringent than the governments standard for pasteurized (bottled) milk. The government’s standard for pasteurized milk is 20,000 bacteria, and Turner’s is 300. The result is a product you can trust will taste fresh and provide high quality nutrition for your family!

Since 2011 we have earned 54 medals at the Los Angeles International Dairy Competition, including 7 awards in 2019!

  • Gold Medals – Cottage Cheese, Heavy Cream, Whole Milk
  • Silver Medal – Whole Chocolate Milk
  • Bronze Medals – Charlie’s Old Time Buttermilk, Fresh Lactose Free Milk, Chocolate Peanut Butter Milk
